Do I need to book in advance to visit Buddies Play Den?

No — our soft play in Clay Cross is walk-in only, so there is no need to book if you are visiting for general play. Families are welcome to simply arrive during our opening hours and pay on arrival.

However, some of our special activities, events and children's parties are bookable sessions. These must be booked in advance, as spaces are limited and popular sessions often sell out.

We strongly recommend booking these activities ahead of time to avoid disappointment. Availability can be checked through our online booking system.

How long is a play session at Buddies Play Den?

Our standard soft play session lasts two hours.

This helps us ensure there is enough seating and space for families visiting our children’s play centre in Clay Cross.

If the centre is quiet, families are often welcome to stay longer. However, during busy periods or when tables are required for new visitors, we may ask customers to keep to the two-hour play session.

What ages is Buddies Play Den suitable for?

Buddies Play Den is designed for babies, toddlers and children up to around 10 years old.

Our play centre also includes a dedicated baby and toddler area, allowing our youngest visitors to play safely away from older children.

Do adults have to pay to enter the play centre?

No — adults enter Buddies Play Den free of charge.

We simply ask that all children visiting the soft play are supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Do children need to wear socks in the soft play?

Yes — socks must be worn when using the play equipment for hygiene and safety reasons.

If you forget socks, they are available to purchase at reception.

Can adults go on the play equipment?

For safety reasons, adults are not permitted on the play frame, unless they are assisting a very young child.

Can we bring our own food and drink?

To maintain our food hygiene standards and allergy safety policies, outside food and drink are not permitted inside Buddies Play Den.

Exceptions can be made for:

• Baby food
• Medical or allergy-specific food

Do you cater for allergies and dietary requirements?

Yes. When creating the menu at Buddies Play Den, we were very mindful of allergies and dietary requirements.

Our ethos is that no child or adult should miss out because of dietary needs, so we have carefully designed our menu to accommodate a wide range of allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements, including more complex needs.

If you or your child has an allergy, please speak to a member of staff before ordering so we can guide you through the safest options available.
